Han Yangling Museum has specially set up a simulated archaeological base, and was appraised as the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Simulated Archaeological Practice Base by the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government in 2012. The simulated archaeological base of Han Yangling Museum covers an area of 1200 square meters, and there are eight excavation units in three categories: outer burial pits, architectural sites and tombs. Participants wear the archaeological clothing and hat made exclusively by Han Yangling Museum, holding archaeological brushes and tools, and conducting archaeological simulation under the guidance of professional archeologists. By participating in simulated archeology, visitors interested in archaeology can experience the process of archeological excavation and cultural relics restoration, and understand the preciousness of cultural heritage.
